Correct option is (B) x + 1/x = 5/2

Let x be a number.

Then its reciprocal is \(\frac1x.\)

Given that sum of number and its reciprocal is \(\frac{5}{2}.\)

\(\therefore\) \(x+\frac{1}{x}=\frac{5}{2}\) which represent the given situation.
