Using integration, find the area of the circle x2 + y2 = 16 which is common to the parabola y2 = 6x.

Solving eqns. (i) and (ii), we get points of intersection (2, 23) and (2, -23)

Substituting these values of x in eq. (ii).

Since both curves are symmetrical about r-axis. Hence the required area
