The symptoms begin between age 6 to 12, are present for more than six months and cause problems in atleast two settings (such as school, home or recreational activities). Its symptoms are:
(a) Difficulty in paying attention.
(b) Difficulty in controlling behaviour.
(c) Poor school performance because of impairment.
(d) Impulsivity.
(e) Unfocused motor activity.
(f) Miss details, make careless mistakes and fail to finish school work.
(g) Dislike tasks that require sustained mental effort.
(h) Face trouble waiting his/her turn.
(i) Interrupts in conversation and have unrealistic thoughts.
(j) Has problem learning two things.
