Quick Learn University is setting up its Academic blocks at Prayag Nagar and planning to set up a network. The university has 3 academic blocks and one Human Resource Center as shown in the diagram below :

Center to center distances between various blocks/ center is as follows:

Law Block to Business Block40 m
Law Block to Technology Block80 m
Larv Block to HR Center105 m
Business Block to Technology Block30 m
Business Block to HR Center35 m
Technology Block to HR Center15 m

Number of computers in each of the Blocks/Center is as follows :

Law Block15
Technology Block40
HR Center115
Business Block25

(i) Suggest the most suitable place to install the server of this university with a suitable reason.

(ii) Suggest an ideal layout for connecting these blocks/center for a wired connectivity. 

(iii) Which device will you suggest to be placed/ installed in each of these blocks/center to efficiently connect all the computers within these blocks/center? 

(iv) The university is planning to connect its admission office in the closest big city, which is more than 250 km from university, which type of network out of LAN, MAN or WAN will be formed? justifyy your answer.

(i) The most suitable place to house the server of this organization would be HR Center, as this place contains the maximum number of computers. So cabling cost is reduced as well as efficiency is increased.

(ii) 

(iii) There is no need for a repeater as no distance is greater than 70m. But Hub/switch would be required in all the blocks, to interconnect the group of cable from the different computers in each block. 

(iv) Since the distance between university office and admission office is too large (250 kms), so WAN would be used to connect university office to admission office.
