Kick-off means the kicking off the football from the centre point of the play field at the time of start of match or after a goal has been scored. The four situations of kick-off are :
(i) At the start of match
(ii) After a goal is scored
(iii) At the start of second half of the match
(iv) At the start of each period of extra time
