could you pls tell me why we have used R=8.314×107 in this question because we use R as 8.314 but in this question it is different

Here calculation follows CGS system taking molar mass of methane as 16g/mol and R is taken as 8.314×107erg.mol-1K-1. Result comes in cm/s

If we take R= 8.314Jmol-1K-1, following SI system then molar mass of methane should be taken as 16×10-3kgmol-1. Then result will come in m/s
