Le Chateliers Principle: It states that “a change in any of the factors that determine the equilibrium conditions of a system will cause the system to change in such a manner so as to reduce or to counteract the effect of the change.”
In the reaction,
(i) Effect of increasing the temperature on reaction: Since the reaction is exothermic so according to Le Chatelier’s principle, increase in temperature shifts the equilibrium to left and decreases the equilibrium concentration of ammonia.
(ii) Effect of decreasing the pressure on reaction: Since the volume decreases in the reaction so according to Le Chatelier’s principle, decrease in pressure shifts the equilibrium to left and decreases the equilibrium concentration of ammonia.
