Explanation:

 Density ρ = mass m/volume V  ...(i)

Take logarithm to take base e on the both sides of eqn (i). we get

Inρ = Inm - InV   ...(ii)

Differentiate eqn (ii), on both sides, we get

Δρ/ρ = ρm/m - ΔV/V
