Developments which led to the launching of Non - Cooperation movement:
a) Mahatma Gandhi successfully organized Satyagraha movements in various places.
b) In 1916, he travelled to Champaran in Bihar to inspire the peasent to struggle against the oppresive plantation system.
c) Then in 1917, he organized a Satyagraha to support the peasents of the Kheda district of Gujarat.
d) In 1918, he went to Ahmedabad to organize a Satyagraha movement amongst cotton mill workers.
e) Rallies were organized in various places.
