The correct option is: (d) I2 and NaOH.

Explanation:

Acetophenone reacts with NaOH and I2 to give yellow ppt. of CHI3 but benzophenone (C6H5COC6H5) does not. Hence, it can be used to distinguish between them.

Option (d) is correct

Acetophenone containing CH3CO- group responds to iodoform test forming yellow precipitate of iodoform when it is treated with I2/NaOH. Benzophenone does not respond to this test as it doesn't contain CH3CO- group.
