Carbon dioxide was heated in heat exchanger by providing 25 MW of heat. CO2 flows through the heat exchanger with velocity equal to 6 m/s, while its temperature before heater was equal to 25oC. CO2 to heat exchanger (HE) was transported in pipe with internal diameter 0.3 m. The pressure of CO2 before HE was equal to 30 Bar. After heating CO2 was mixed with pure oxygen at constant pressure. The molar flow rate of pure oxygen was 0.05 kmol/s and its temperature was equal to 25oC. After mixing the mixture of CO2 and N2 was used to generate electrical power in gas turbine with internal efficiency 0.85. The mixture of N2/CO2 was expanded to surrounding pressure equal to 0.1 MPa. The mechanical efficiency of the turbine was 0.9 and electrical efficiency of the generator was 0.98. Calculate the amount of electrical energy generated in the turbine.
