Equation used

∆E=Z^2hcR[1/n1^2-1/n2^2]

Where

∆E ->energy required for promotion

h=Planck's constant

c= velocity of light in vacuum

Z= nuclear charge

R=Rydberg constant.

Here Z= 3 for Li++

n1=1 and n2=infinity.
