Correct option (b) K-capture

Explanation:

ln certain nucleus, the nucleus captures an electron from the K-shell (being nearest to the nucleus). The vacancy created is filled up with the electron front the higher shells thereby emitting X-rays. As a result of K-electron capture" a proton in the nucleus is converted into a neutron (p +e-→n).
