Explanation:

Lucas test - Alcohol reacts with concentrated hydrochloric acid in presence of anhydrous ZnCl2 to form alkyl halides. The three types of alcohols undergo this reaction at different rates. Order of rate of reaction is : 

tertiary > secondary > primary.
