The acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the Moon is 1.7 m/s2 . What is the time-period of a simple pendulum on the Moon if its time period on the Earth is 3.5 s?

 (g on Earth = 9.8 m/s2)

We are given that time period of a simple pendulum on Earth, i.e., TE = 3.5 s

Acceleration due to gravity on Earth, i.e., gE = 9.8 m/s2 

Acceleration due to gravity on Moon, i.e., gM = 1.7 m/s2

Let TM be the time period of the simple pendulum on Moon. Clearly,
