O-nitrophenol is more acidic than o- methoxyphenol

-NO2 group is an electron withdrawing group and tend to decrease the electron density on –OH thereby increasing its tendency to lose H+ ions ,consequently increasing the acidic nature .but in o-methoxyphenol, -OCH3 group has +I effect and hence less is acidic .
