Antibiotics are microbial products partly or wholly natural which have a low toxicity level in humans and animals. Penicillin is an example of antibiotic produced by Penicillium notatum, a fungi. It was discovered by Alexander Flemming while experimenting on Streptococcus bacteria.

An antibiotic is a substance produced by one microorganism that is toxic to other micro-organisms.

Eg. Pencillin, Chloroamphenicol or any other example of antibiotics.
