In triangle PQR, right-angled at Q, PR + QR = 25 cm and PQ = 5 cm. Determine the values of sin P, cos P and tan P.

Solution
Let QR=x and PR=y
Then x+y=25
y=25-x
Now by Pythagorus theorem
x2  + 25= y2
x2  + 25 = (25-x)2
Solving it ,we get
X=12 cm
Then y=25-12=13 cm
Now sin P= 12/13
cos P=5/13
Tan P=12/5
