Explanation:

Magnetic  susceptibillity (Xm) is defined as the ratio of the intensity (M) of magnetisation to the magnetic intensity (H) of the  magnetising field. that is

Xm = M/H

It is a pure number, because I and H have the same unit. Its value for vacuum is zero as there can be no magnetisation in vacuum.
