The pH of 0.1M CH3COOH is 2.873. What is pH of 0.1M NH4OH. Ka(CH3COOH) = 1.8 x 10–5 and Kb(NH4OH) = 1.8 x 10–5

Correct option (a) 11.127 

Explanation:

Since Ka(CH3COOH) = Kb(NH4OH) and concentration are equal so pH (CH3COOH) = pOH (NH4OH)

pH = 2.873 

∴ pH = 14 – pOH = 14 – 2.873 = 11.127
