Correct Answer - Option 1 : 6.25

Given:

Run rate in first 10 overs = 3.2

Total runs = 282

Formula used:

Sum of all observations = Average × Number of observations

Calculation:

Total run in first 10 over = 3.2 × 10 = 32

More run need to be score in next 40 over = 282 – 32 = 250

Average score in remaining 40 over = 250/40

⇒ 6.25

∴  The run rate in the remaining 40 overs to reach the target of 282 runs is 6.25
