Consider the following statements regarding duality:

1. The dual networks are obtained for both AC and DC circuits and they are based on Kirchhoff's laws.

2. Dual circuits are not obtained in planar networks.

3. Two networks are said to be dual networks if mesh equations of one network have the same form as the nodal equations of the other.

4. Which of the above statements are correct.

Which of the above statements are correct?

Correct Answer - Option 2 : 1 and 3 only

→ Dual network's are obtained for both AC & DC circuits satisfying kirchoff's law's i.e. KCL & KVL.

→ Dual networks are obtained in planar networks.

→ Since KVL is dual of KCL; hence mesh equation are dual of nodal equations therefore, statement 3 is correct.
