Correct Answer - Option 3 : Agriculture Finance

The correct answer is Agriculture Finance.

  •  Land Reforms Policy in India:
    • Before Independence Lands were not under the control of Farmers. It was mostly in the hands of Zamindars and Jagirdars.
    • So after Independence Indian government formed a committee under J.C.Kumarappa to develop a land reform policy.
    • Land reform policy of India had 4 main components: Abolition of the Intermediaries, Tenancy Reforms, Fixing Ceilings on Landholdings and
Consolidation of Landholdings. Hence, Option 1 and 2 are correct
    • Objectives:
      • To enhance the productivity of the land by improving the economic conditions of farmers and tenants
      • To ensure distributive justice and to create an egalitarian society by eliminating all forms of exploitation
      • To create a system of peasant proprietorship with the motto of land to the tiller
      • To transfer the incomes of the few to many so that the demand for consumer goods would be created
    • The first phase of land reforms had the abolition of Intermediaries, Tenancy reforms, Cooperative and community development programmes. .
    • Land reforms have nothing to do with Agriculture finance. Hence option 3 is not correct.
