Given:

Total money = Rs. 1690

Each person received Rs. 30 less, then

The ratio of their shares = 2 ∶ 5 ∶ 1

Calculation:

Let the ratio of their shares be 2x, 5x and x respectively

According to the question,

If each of them received Rs. 30 less, then

Total money = 1690 - (3 × 30)

⇒ Rs. 1,600

2x + 5x + x = 1600

⇒ 8x = 1600

⇒ x = 200

Now, money received by Ram = 2x + 30

⇒ 2 × 200 + 30

⇒ Rs. 430

∴ The money received by Ram is Rs. 430.
