Correct Answer - Option 1 : 2464 cm2

Given:

Area of the circle = Area of the rectangle

Length of the rectangle = 44 cm

Breadth of the rectangle = 56 cm

Formula Used:

Area of the rectangle = l × b

Area of the circle = πr2

Where, l = Length of the rectangle,

b = Breadth of the rectangle,

r = Radius of the circle,

π = 22/7

Calculation:

Let the radius of the circle(r) be x cm.

According to the question,

πr2 = l × b

⇒ (22/7) × x2 = 44 × 56

⇒ x2 = (44 × 56 × 7)/22

⇒ x2 = 784

⇒ x = 28

Hence, r = 28 cm

Area of the circle = πr2

⇒ (22/7) × 28 × 28

⇒ 22 × 4 × 28

⇒ 2464 cm2

∴ The area of the circle will be 2464 cm2.
