Correct Answer - Option 4 : (4), (1), (5), (2), (3)

Teaching process:

Teaching is fundamentally a process, including planning, implementation, evaluation and revision. Planning and teaching a class are familiar ideas to most instructors. More overlooked are the steps of evaluation and revision. Without classroom assessments or some other means of receiving feedback on a regular basis, it is surprisingly easy to misunderstand whether a particular teaching method or strategy has been effective.

Steps involved in teaching process:

Formulating objectives- It is vital that the learning objectives align at program, phase, course and task level. This means the course objectives are explicit in the program’s learning outcome. When developing new courses it is best to start by studying the learning outcome.

Connecting the present knowledge with the previous knowledge- Activating Prior Knowledge is important in students understanding, because it allows them and helps make connections to the new information. By using what students already know, it helps the teacher assist students with the learning process because it give him/her an idea of what students know and what they still need to learn. It is simply to use background knowledge to make understanding of what the text mean. According to schema theory, as students learn about the world, they develop a schema and are allowed to make connections to many other things.

Presentation of materials- Teaching materials come in many shapes and sizes, but they all have in common the ability to support learning. The purpose and importance of teaching and learning materials is to make lessons interesting, learning easy and enable teachers to easily express concepts. Learning materials can significantly increase learners’ achievement by supporting learning.

Evaluation- Evaluation of teaching involves collecting evidence, from various stakeholders, for the purpose of improving the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process. A successful evaluation generates outcomes that are valid, reliable and indicate directions and action for development.

Re-teaching- Re-teaching is an essential part of instruction that promotes student learning and motivation. Teachers should continuously monitor the progress of students to make sure the concepts and skills are mastered. When teachers identify students who have not understood the concepts presented, either by formal or informal assessments, they should then select re-teaching activities that present the content in a new or different way.

Hence, the correct answer is Option 4.
