Correct Answer - Option 4 : 6 hr 40 minutes

Given

Time taken by Akash for one side walk and return in car = 4 hours 40 minutes

Time can be saved if he had ridden in car both ways = 2 hours 40 minutes

Formula Used

Distance = speed × time

Calculation

1 way car journey takes = (4 hours 40 minutes) – (2 hours 40 minutes)

⇒ 1 hours 20 minutes

So, 1 way walk should take = (4 hours 40 minutes) – (1 hour 20 minutes)

⇒ 3 hour 20 minutes

Both way walk would take = 2 × time taken in 1 way walk

⇒  2 × (3 hour 20 minutes)

⇒ 6 hour 40 minutes

Time taken by Akash if he walks both ways is 6 hour 40 minutes.
