Correct Answer - Option 4 : 17

The correct answer is "option 4".

CALCULATION:

Address type - Byte Addressable

Total no. of RAM Chips = 6 x 4 = 24 chips

Number of bits needed  = ⌈ log224 ⌉ = 5 bits

Size of RAM chips  8K × 4 =  23 x 210 x 2=215 bits

Number of bits needed  = ⌈ log2215⌉ = 15 bits

Total number of bits = 12 + 5 bits = 17 bits
