Correct Answer - Option 2 : 7/36

Formula Used:

Probability = Possible outcomes/Total outcomes

Calculations:

When 2 dice are rolled,

Total outcomes = 36

Possible outcomes of getting 9 = (3, 6), (6, 3), (4, 5), (5, 4)

⇒ Number of possible outcomes of getting 9 = 4

Possible outcomes of getting 10 = (4, 6), (6, 4), (5, 5)

⇒ Number of possible outcomes of getting 10 = 3

⇒ Total number of possible outcomes = 4 + 3 = 7

Probability = Possible outcomes/Total outcomes

⇒ Probability = 7/36

∴ The probability of getting a 9 or 10 on single throw of 2 dice is 7/36.
