Correct Answer - Option 3 : 16 π

Concept:

The surface area of a sphere = 4 × π × r2  (∵ r = Radius of the sphere)

The area of square = (Side)2

Calculation:

Let be assume the side of the square is x and the radius of the sphere is r.

⇒ x2 = 16, x = 4 cm

⇒ The radius of square = 4 × (50/100) = 2 cm

⇒ The surface area of square = 4 × (π) × 22 = 16 π

∴ The required result will be 16 π.
