Correct Answer - Option 3 : 33 kmph

Concept:

Speed = Distance/Time

Relative speed = speed of train 1 + speed of train 2 ; when both moving in opposite direction

Calculation:

⇒ Let the speed of the second train be S kmph

240m = 0.24 km

260m = 0.26 km

⇒ (0.24 + 0.26)/(17 + S) = 36/(60 × 60)

⇒ 0.5 × 100 = (17 + S)

⇒ S = 33 kmph

∴ The required speed of the second train will be 33 kmph.
