Correct Answer - Option 1 : 58.86 kPa

Concept:

The pressure at a certain point which is above or below at height h is given by

P = ρgh

Where, ρ = Density of fluid, g = Gravitational acceleration, h = Height.

Calculation:

Given:

h = 6 m, g = 9.81 m/s2

Here the given fluid is water so ρ = 1000 kg/m3

P = ρgh = 1000 × 9.81 × 6 = 58860 Pa = 58.86 kPa

The pressure at a point 6 m below the free surface of the water is 58.86 kPa.

Thus, option 1 is the correct answer.
