Correct Answer - Option 2 : t RNA

The correct answer is t RNA.

  • Transfer RNA (t RNA) transfers specific amino acids to the site of protein synthesis i.e. ribosome and mRNA.

  • It is the smallest RNA of 75 to 91 nucleotides. It constitutes about 15% of the total in a cell.
  • Its structure is double-stranded due to complementary base pairing but it is a single-stranded RNA.
  • It has three loops: DHU loop, Anticodon loop, and T loop.
  • It also reads the message in mRNA.

  • Messenger RNA (m RNA) constitutes about 5% of the total RNA in the cell.
  • Ribosomal RNA is the most abundant RNA. It constitutes about 80% of the total RNA in the cell.
