Correct Answer - Option 2 : 42

Let these three numbers be A, B and C.

Given:

A : B : C = 3 : 7 : 5

Largest number is greater than smallest number by 20

Calculation:

Since, largest number is greater than smallest number by 24

⇒ 7x – 3x = 4x = 24

⇒ x = 6

⇒ Second number = 7x = 7 × 6 = 42
