Correct Answer - Option 2 : Supports a faster transfer rate

RS 232 C

USB (Universal serial Bus)

  • It can connect with lower range of periphenals
  • Comparatively slower transfer rate

E.g. \(20\;k\;band\;\left[ {band = \frac{{symbol}}{{sec}}} \right]\)

  • It does NOT support Hot plug ability
  • Here PC can not detect the process or absence
  • USB can cannot with higher range of peripehenals.
  • Comparatively higher transfer rate.

E.g. 12 mbps

  • It support hot plug ability
  • Here PC can detect the process or absence

Note:

  • Hot plug ability : When computer’s opening system automatically recognize the presence or absence of any device, while computer is running.
  • RS232 C

RS → Recommended standard for serial communication

C → virsion (3rd)
