Calculation:

The interest of Amal on 12000 at 8% compounded annually

⇒ 12000 × (8/100) = 960

Interest of Amal on 10000 at 6% compounded semi-annually

⇒ {10000 × (3/100)} + {10300 × (3/100)} = 300 + 309 = 609

Total interest of Amal = 960 + 609 = 1569

Interest of Bimal on x at 7.5 % simple interest

⇒ (7.5/100) × x = 1569

⇒ x = 20920

The investment of Bimal in Rupees is 20920.
