Correct Answer - Option 1 : 351

Given:

6 men and 9 women can finish a work in 18 days. 9 men and 20 women finished the work in 9 days.

Formula:

If A and B can together finish it in t days with A and B finishing the work in a and b days respectively,

1/a + 1/b = 1/t

Calculation:

total work = efficiency × time

Let one man one day’s work = m

Let one woman one day’s work = w

ATQ,

(6m + 9w) × 18 = (9m + 20w) × 9

⇒ m/w = 2/3

total work = (6 × 2 + 9 × 3) × 18 = 702

time taken by a man = 702/2 = 351 days
