Correct Answer - Option 4 : 720 m

Given:

A train that is running at speed of 72 km/hr crosses an electric pole in 36 seconds.

Concept used:

Distance = speed × time

Calculation:

Distance = 72 km/hr × 36 seconds

We need to find the distance in metres so convert the speed into metre/seconds

72 × (5/18) = 20 m/sec

Distance = 20 × 36

Distance = 720 m
