Correct Answer - Option 2 : 4 days

Given:

2m = 3 days

3w = 4 days

4c = 6 days

Formula used:

(M1 × D1 × T1)/W1 = (M2 × D2 × T2)/W2

Total work = Efficiency × days

Calculations:

Accordingly,

2m × 3 = 3w × 4 = 4c × 6 = Total work

⇒ 1m = 2w = 4c

Let, 1m = 2w = 4c = k

⇒ Efficiency of m = 4

⇒ Efficiency of w = 2

⇒ Efficiency of c = 1

Total work =  2m × 3 = 2 × 4 × 3 = 24 unit

⇒ (1m + 2c) can complete the work = 24/(1 × 4 + 2 × 1)

⇒ (1m + 2c) can complete the work = 4 days

∴ 1 men and 2 children can complete the work in 4 days.
