Correct Answer - Option 2 : Both (A) and (R) are correct but (R) is not the right explanation of (A).

Assertion (A): Training aids in encouraging and achieving self-development and self-confidence.

Explanation:

  1. All learning is through the senses.
  2. The more senses are brought into use, the more effective is the learning; 97 percent of learning is achieved through simultaneous appeal to the eye and ear.
  3. It is because of this that we should make use of audiovisual aids in training.
  4. Effective use of audiovisual aids can be included in any sort of presentation.
  5. Charts, slides, videos, overhead transparencies, and films can be used to add interest as well as supplement verbal explanations.
  6. Proper use of instructional aids saves time, adds interest, helps trainees learn, and makes the job easier which stimulates the development and increases confidence among the employees. Thus, the assertion is correct.

Reason (R): It helps a person handle stress, tension, frustration, and conflict.

Explanation:

  1. Traning aids help a person to manage his stress, tension, frustration, and conflict by making him well equipped with the working of the job.
  2. When a person is able to do his job in an effective way, he starts liking his job and enjoys working.
  3. However, managing stress, tension, frustration, and conflict is not entirely linked with self-development and self-confidence as there are various other financial, psychological, and social factors as well which contribute to self-development and self-confidence.
  4. Thus, the reason is correct but it does not completely justify the assertion.

Thus, option B is the correct answer.
