Correct Answer - Option 3 : a and c

Renewable Energy: A renewable energy source means energy that is sustainable - something that cannot run out, or is endless, like the sun. It is obtained from the natural and persistent flow of energy occurring in the immediate environment. The most popular renewable energy sources are:

  • Solar energy
  • Wind energy
  • Hydro energy
  • Tidal energy
  • Geothermal energy
  • Biomass energy

Green energy:

  • It includes green electricity and it is clean energy i.e. it is produced with no environmental impact and does not dispense greenhouse gases into the air that contribute to global warming, the way fossil fuels do.
  • Green energy sources include wind, geothermal, hydro, and solar energy.
  • Wind and hydro sources generate energy through the movement of air and water, while geothermal and solar sources generate energy through heat. All, however, provide reliable energy and protect the environment.

Non-renewable energy:

  • Energy obtained from static stores of energy that remain underground unless released by human interaction.
  • Examples are nuclear fuels and fossil fuels of coal, oil, and natural gas.
  • The energy is initially an isolated energy potential, and external action is required to initiate the supply of energy for practical purposes.
  • Non-renewable energy supplies are called finite supplies or Brown Energy.
