In a reaction. 3B-->P the concentration of B decreases from 0.6 mol L-1  to 0.3 mol -1 in 20 minutes Calculate the rate of the reaction during this time period.

rate of reaction = \(-\frac13\frac{\Delta[B]}{\delta t}=\frac{\Delta[P]}{\Delta t}\) 

\(=-\frac13\times\frac{(0.3-0.6)}{20\times60}\) 

\(=\frac13\times\frac{0.3}{1200}\) 

 = 8.33 x 10-5 mol L-1 S-1

Hence, the qve. rate of reaction between 20 min will be 

8.33 x 10-5 Mol L-1 S-1
