Dimension of shaft is \(100_{ - 0.00}^{ + 0.01}\) and corresponding Hole diameter is \(100_{ - 0.01}^{ + 0.02}\). The maximum material condition of the fit is

1. Shaft diameter : 100.01 and hole diameter : 99.99
2. Shaft diameter: 100.00 and hole diameter: 99.99
3. Shaft diameter : 100.00 and hole diameter : 100.02
4. Shaft diameter : 100.005 and hole diameter : 100.005

Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : Shaft diameter : 100.01 and hole diameter : 99.99

Concept:

Maximum material condition refers to a feature of the size that contains the greatest amount of material, but yet remains within its tolerance zone.

i.e. Largest shaft diameter and smallest hole size

So, in this case, the largest shaft diameter is 100.01

and smallest hole diameter is 99.99
