Where M = man, D = day and H = hour

Concept used:

M₁D₁H₁ = M₂D₂H₂

Calculation:

27 × 18 × 8 × 2/3 = M₂ × 16 × 18

⇒ 27 × 2/3 = M₂ × 2

∴ M₂ = 9 persons
