If 27 persons can complete a work in 18 days, working 8 hours a day, then how many persons have required to complete two-thirds of the same work in 16 days, working 18 hours a day?

Correct Answer - Option 3 : 9

Given:

M1 = 27, D1 = 18 days, H1 = 8 hours

D2 = 16 days, H2 = 18 hours and work = 2/3

Where M = man, D = day and H = hour

Concept used:

M1D1H1 = M2D2H2

Calculation:

27 × 18 × 8 × 2/3 = M2 × 16 × 18

⇒ 27 × 2/3 = M2 × 2

∴ M2 = 9 persons
