  • A judge of the High Court can be removed by the president on the recommendation of parliament on the grounds of proven misbehaviour or incapacity.
  • A motion to remove the Judge of HC can be introduced in any house of parliament.
  • It motion to remove must be signed by at least 100 members in Lok Sabha or 50 members in Rajya Sabha.
  • The speaker or chairman can reject the proposal or set up a committee of three members to investigate the matter.
  • The committee consists of Judge of Supreme Court, Judge of High Court, and a distinguished jurist.
