Correct Answer - Option 2 : Statement III and IV only

The correct answer is option (2) i.e. Statement III and IV only

  • Under Article 110, a bill will be a money bill if it contains only provisions dealing with all or any of them, These comprise a set of seven features, broadly including items such as the imposition or regulation of a tax; the regulation of the borrowing of money by the Government of India; the withdrawal of money from the Consolidated Fund of India and so.
  • Article 110 further clarifies that in cases where a dispute arises over whether a bill is a money bill or not, the Lok Sabha Speaker’s decision on the issue shall be considered final.
  • It can only be introduced in the Lok sabha.
  • Rajya Sabha can’t reject the bill, though Rajya Sabha may recommend changes in it but it is up to Lok Sabha whether to accept it or not.
  • It is only introduced in the Lok Sabha that too on the prior recommendation of the President.
  • It can be introduced by a Minister only. That means it is a Public Bill.
