Correct Answer - Option 4 : Symmetric Matrix

Concept:

Transpose of matrix A = AT

Let Product of matrix and its transpose = AAT = B

Now, transpose of matrix B, BT = (AAT)T

BT= (AT)T (AT)           {Since, (PQ)T = QTPT}

BT= AAT = B

Since, (AAT)T = AAT, hence it is a symmetric matrix.

Therefore, the product of a matrix and its transpose will always be a symmetric matrix.
