$C = \frac{{1000\;V}}{S}$

Where,

V = speed in km/hr

S = minimum clear distance between two vehicles

∴ S = 0.2 V + 6 ( if V is in kmph )

(or) S = 0.7 v + 6 ( if v is in m/s )

Calculation:

Given,

S = 0.2 × 40 + 6 = 14 m
