Calculation:

Given:

No. of address lines = 20 (A0 to A19)

No. of data lines = 16 (D0 to D15)

The total capacity of memory will be:

= 220 × 16 bits

= 220 × 2 × 8 bits

\(= 2 \times \underbrace {{2^{20}}}_{Mega} \times \underbrace {8bits}_{Bytes}\)

= 2 MB
