The distance between two cities A and B is 330 km. A train starts from A at 9 a.m. and travels towards B at 60 km/hr. Another train starts from B at 9 a.m. and travels towards A at 75 km/hr at what time do they meet?
1. 10 a.m.
2. 10:30 a.m.
3. 11 a.m.
4. 11:26:67 a.m.

Correct Answer - Option 4 : 11:26:67 a.m.

Total distance = 330 km

Sum of the speed of both train = 60 + 75 = 135 km/hr

Time taken to meet each other = 330/135 = \(2\frac{4}{9}\;hr = 2\;hr\;\frac{{80}}{3}\;minutes\) = 2 hr 26.67 minutes

Required time = 9 am + 2 hr 26.67 minutes = 11 : 26.67 a.m.

Note: This question was asked in previous year exam and we changed options to give the answer accordingly.
